bvk solutions was founded by three Kingston-based entrepreneurs who share a passion for creative problem-solving, community connection, and helping small businesses thrive.
Brock Poirier,
Founding Partner and Digital Systems Director
Full-Stack Developer, Systems Designer and Web Architect
Brock leads bvk’s digital systems projects, designing scalable websites, custom tools, and workflow integrations that help businesses operate more efficiently. He’s passionate about building user-friendly, future-ready solutions that simplify processes and empower teams.

Victoria leads bvk’s creative direction, brand strategy, and visual communications projects. She blends business insight with design thinking to help clients tell their stories with clarity, creativity, and confidence.

Victoria also teaches design, marketing, media planning and advertising, and analytics at St. Lawrence College in the School of Professional Services and Innovation.
Kirk Smallridge, Founding Partner and Projects and Operations Director
Project Manager, Operations Strategist and Community Builder
Kirk leads bvk’s operations and project management portfolio, ensuring every client partnership runs smoothly from concept to completion. With a focus on collaboration, organization, and process efficiency, he helps businesses and non-profits transform ideas into results.

Kirk currently serves as Chair & Treasurer of the Board of Directors at Something Special Children’s Centre, and as a Director on the Board for the Centre for Workforce Development, supporting workforce and community growth initiatives across Eastern Ontario. He recently completed Project Management Certificate at St. Lawrence College.
He also volunteers with the Canadian Colours Kingston Foundation, and as Project Manager with the Project Management Institute Ottawa Valley Outaouais Chapter Kingston Branch.

Erica Csanyi, Content Developer
Digital Marketing Strategist, Creative Writer
Erica brings a strong background in digital marketing and content development, creating engaging online campaigns and fostering vibrant digital communities.
With extensive experience in SEO strategy, digital marketing, and e-commerce platform development— she combines creativity and digital strategy to ensure every project connects authentically with its audience and strengthens each client’s online presence.
Erica holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Psychology from Queen’s University, and a Diploma in Social Service Work from St. Lawrence College.
Erica is an avid reader who finds inspiration and reflection in the stories she explores—fueling the creativity and empathy that shape her approach to storytelling and strategy.
Amber Dawe, Marketing & Administrative Assistant
Graphic Designer, Advertising & Digital Marketing Specialist
A graduate of the Advertising and Marketing Communications (AMC) program at St. Lawrence College, Amber specializes in graphic design, website design, branding, digital marketing, and accessibility-focused design. She is passionate about creative collaboration, meaningful storytelling, and using design and marketing to help organizations make a positive impact.
Throughout her time at St. Lawrence College, Amber became known for her leadership, adaptability, and people-focused approach to teamwork and communication. She was recognized by the St. Lawrence College Student Association with an Academic Award and was also nominated in multiple award categories, including Leadership, Arts and Culture, and Community Involvement.
Amber enjoys supporting organizations and initiatives that strengthen communities. She values building meaningful connections, understanding different perspectives, and bringing ideas to life through thoughtful design, strategic thinking, and collaborative problem-solving. Known for being organized, approachable, open-minded, and driven, she takes pride in creating work that is visually engaging, accessible, and purpose-driven while solving real-world challenges.
Ruslan Pavlov, Project Coordinator
Workflow Developer, Project and Process Manager
Ruslan supports bvk’s projects through efficient workflows, process improvement, and smart system integration. He combines a background in marketing, sales, and project management to help streamline operations and keep projects moving smoothly.
A recent graduate of the Project Management Post-Graduate Certificate program at St. Lawrence College, Ruslan brings an extensive background in sales and marketing that allows him to identify opportunities, build lasting relationships, and create structures that increase productivity.
He volunteers as a Project and Content Coordinator for EVENforOne, where he supports digital marketing communications and leads the transition to a centralized, cloud-based workflow. Ruslan is also a small business owner, having launched and managed his own e-commerce startup — experience that fuels his understanding of efficient business operations and client success.

Our work is always purposeful. Something that we have always believed since starting bvk solutions was that any work we did, had to embody three principles; People, Purpose, and Community.
We believe that no small business or not-for-profit organization that is doing work of substance for the community should go without because of limitations like budget. That is why we strive to support these businesses and work within their means to ensure they have the support they need to continue doing their purposeful work.
