what’s the difference between print and digital files?

Designing for print and digital isn’t the same

What works well on a screen may not always work properly in print without adjustments. Printed materials require higher resolution, proper sizing, colour setup, and file formatting to avoid issues like blurry graphics, incorrect colours, or poor print quality. Digital files are usually optimized differently to improve loading speed and online performance.

File formats matter too.

Vector files such as SVG, AI, or EPS are scalable and ideal for logos, signage, and print materials, while raster files like JPG or PNG are more commonly used for websites, social media, and digital content.
